WASPI in the Newspapers – 12 November 2025

WASPI is on the front page of many newspapers today with other papers covering the story of the Governments ‘U’-turn in articles inside.

The key story is that late yesterday afternoon Pat McFadden MP, the Works and Pensions Secretary announced the Government would reconsider their decision not to pay compensation. The reasons given were that when Liz Kendall MP was Works and Pensions secretary and made the decision she was not given all the evidence.

Pat McFadden has stated that the whole issue of compensation will be reconsidered. No timeframe has been given and it is not clear when or what will be decided.
