Pensions Acts From 1995
State Pension age changes are enacted through Primary Legislation (Acts of Parliament). Acts which affected WASPI women were enacted between 1995 and 2011, initially equalising the State Pension age with men and then raising the State Pension age to 66. Subsequent Acts, from 2014 onwards, continue to raise the State Pension age for both men and women. The Pensions Act 2014 includes a requirement to review the State Pension age every 6 years. These reviews, which may change the State Pension age, are also included in the list.
