Images and MP messages from the Drop-In event in Parliament – 21 October 2025

Around 100 MPs attended the drop-in event WASPI organised in Parliament, other MPs would have loved to attend but were already booked for the afternoon and sent their apologies. It was a very busy session and many images and statements were made.

Here are a selection of images and statements of support from MPs.

“WASPI women deserve and need Compensation now.”

Charlotte Cane MP (Ely and East Cambridgeshire)

BACKING WASPI WOMEN – NO MATTER WHAT!

Jonathon Brash MP (Hartlepool)

WASPI women have suffered enough injustice, it is time for action now.

I urge ministers to give WASPI women the compensation they deserve. Theres is a fair and just cause, the women have shown resilience and courage they must now have justice.

Paula Barker MP (Liverpool Wavertree)

You are the most inspirational group, and I’ve always admired your tremendous campaign.

I will continue to support and raise your feedback both locally and nationally

Lee Pitcher MP (Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme)

I support WASPI women

Stuart Anderson MP (South Shropshire)

WASPI!!

Bring this injustice to an end Once and for all

Marie Rimmer CBE MP (St. Helens South and Whiston)

I have consistently supported the WASPI campaign and will continue to do so in Parliament and the community

Margaret Mullane MP(Dagenham and Rainham)

WASPI in Parliament.

Loved meeting with Waspi campaigners from Scotland in Westminster yesterday.

Their passion and determination is incredible.

But they really shouldn’t have to travel from across the UK in their fight to secure justice, because the Government should be on their side – as was promised before the election.

We’ll keep fighting for them.

Steven Flynn MP (Aberdeen South)

Last year, the Ombudsman accepted WASPI’s legal challenge into the reasons why the Government refused to compensate women affected by the State pension age changes.

I support their call to ask the Government to think again about the decision not to compensate those affected.

WASPI’s high court judicial review is taking place on 9 and 10 December 2025. The Government does not have to wait. Meet them and work towards a resolution.

Manuela Perteghella MP (Stratford-on-Avon)

Solidarity to WASPI

John McDonell MP (Hayes & Harlington)

We must correct this grave injustice.

Firm support for the WASPI women.

SOLIDARITY

Imran Hussain (Bradford East)

Good to meet with Angela Madden at WASPI and catch up with the campaign and the current situation.

Toby Perkins MP (Chesterfield)

“WASPI women deserve to get compensation” Financial Services Ombudsman

Susan Murray MP (Mid Dunbartonshire)

It’s not about money, it’s about injustice and righting the wrong.

WASPI women deserve compensation. It’s time for the government to stop dragging it’s feet

Tom Gordon MP (Harrogate and Knaresborough)

I was pleased to once again reaffirm my support for the WASPI women in Parliament this week.

For years, I have stood shoulder to shoulder with 1950s-born women who were unfairly affected by the changes to the State Pension Age. These women have waited far too long for justice, and their fight continues to highlight a deep injustice in how government decisions can impact people’s lives.

Since first joining local WASPI campaigners back in 2017, I’ve consistently supported their calls for fair and fast compensation.

I’ve met with campaigners in Blackpool and across the country, spoken in Parliament, and stood alongside them as they’ve campaigned with dignity and determination.

The WASPI women have shown remarkable resilience and courage. They deserve justice, not delay. I’ll continue to stand with them every step of the way until that justice is delivered.

Ahead of December’s High Court hearing, I urge Ministers to deliver fair compensation to all those affected.

Chris Webb MP (Blackpool South)

An injustice is an injustice. It must be put right. The 1950s women will never give up so neither will me!

Rebecca Long-Bailey MP (Salford)

My government must make a serious response to the legitimate complaints of the 50s women. The finding of maladministration is important but it goes deeper than that before there is justice

Bryn Davies, Lord Davies of Brixton

I had the privilege of attending the WASPI – Women Against State Pension Inequality Campaign parliamentary drop-in event.

I’m pleased to support the WASPI women’s campaign and believe that it is important that they receive the compensation suggested by the Ombudsman.

Patricia Ferguson MP (Glasgow West)

Pension justice shouldn’t be a fight

David Baines MP (St Helens North)

Jon Trickett MP (Normanton and Hemsworth)

I will continue to fight for the compensation and pension justice that thousands of WASPI women across my constituency and the country deserve.

Over 8,000 women in Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe have been impacted and time and time again, successive governments have turned their backs on those who were wronged through no fault of their own.

David Chadwick MP (Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe)

The WASPI campaign have been determined to right the wrong that impacts so many women.

They deserve justice and compensation

Olivia Blake MP(Sheffield Hallam)

Jo Platt MP (Leigh and Atherton)

Warinder Juss MP (Wolverhampton West)

Compensation NOW!!

Neil Duncan-Jordan MP (Poole)

What is the point of having an Ombudsman if governments ignore their findings?

Alistair Carmichael (Orkney and Shetland)

Yasmin Qureshi MP (Bolton South and Walkden)

John Milne MP (Horsham)

The WASPI’s have waited for far too long for justice – we must act now!

Tom Morrison MP (Cheadle)

Douglas McAllister MP (West Dunbartonshire)

WASPI women don’t give up.

You will always have my support X

Emma Lewell MP (South Shields)

Please support this injustice. These women work hard and deserve more

Elaine Stewart MP (Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock)

Our nation should always stay true to justice, whether it’s seems cheap or convenient or not.

Good luck!

Chris Hinchcliffe MP (North East Hertfordshire)

The WASPI scandal is another of the great injustices of our time.

I stand in full solidarity with them and I urge the Government to do the right thing and pay the compensation to those who are still with us before it’s too late.

Iqbal Mohamed MP (Dewsbury and Batley)

Continuing to support WASPI women in North West Leicestershire

Amanda Hack MP (North West Leicestershire)

WASPI women were the backbone of our great nation at the most difficult of times.

We must respect their contribution and put right this grave injustice.

Ayoub Khan MP (Birmingham Berry Barr)

The government must act on the recommendations of the ombudsman, and right a wrong that is now a decade old.

It should not take the courts to make this right

Robin Swann MP(South Antrim)

Robin Swann MP, Lord Empey and Tom Elliott of Ballinamallard have reaffirmed their commitment to the WASPI women at an event in Parliament yesterday. The UUP reps called for the Government to deliver the compensation that they owe to the women affected.

Cat Smith MP (Lancaster and Wyre)

Adam Dance MP (Yeovil)

WASPI women deserve compensation, action is overdue, ministers need to address this unfairness NOW

Gideon Amos MP (Taunton and Wellington)

Mohammed Yasin MP (Bedford)

I attended an event in Parliament earlier this week to show my solidarity and support to the WASPI – Women Against State Pension Inequality Campaign.

6,736 women in my constituency are still owed compensation and an apology from the UK government – something Labour has shamefully refused to deliver.

It’s especially sickening when the people responsible for not paying out used WASPI campaigners as props for photographs during the election.

Labour should be ashamed, and they should pay up.

Graham Leadbitter MP (Moray West, Nairn & Strathspey)

WASPI women deserve better.

Helen Morgan MP (North Shropshire)

Iqbal Mohammed MP (Dewsbury and Batley)

Gregory Campbell MP (East Londonderry) and Gavin Robinson MP (Belfast East)

#Justice for WASPI women Rachel X

Rachel Gilmour MP(Tiverton and Minehead)

“To all WASPI women

Your cause is just, your fight is right and you will always have my complete support

I pay tribute to every campaigner, especially to the amazing Hartlepool WASPI’s, for everything you do

Your ever”

Jonathon Brash MP (Hartlepool)

“I want to see fair and fast compensation for WASPI women”

Adrian Ramsey MP (Waveney Valley

Anneliese Midgley MP (Knowsley)

WASPI women, I am still fighting for you. We’ve been fighting since 2015, and we’re still fighting together today🌹

This fight shouldn’t have been this long, and it shouldn’t have been this complicated.

But it’s where we’re at & what we need is unity. That’s why I’ll keep standing by your side.

I attend every WASPI event I can because it keeps me updated & let’s me know what I can do to help with this fight.

I have not given up & neither should you.

Together, we are stronger.

Together, we will keep fighting.

Lorraine Beavers MP ( Blackpool North and Fleetwood)

WASPI women deserve justice.

No more delays.

No more reviews We need ACTION now

Ben Goldsborough MP (South Norfolk)

𝟰𝟴𝟮𝟱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀

Gregory Campbell MP and I attended the WASPI event in Parliament this afternoon, reaffirming our support and commitment for the WASPI women, who continue to fight for fairness and recognition.

The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman has already ruled that maladministration occurred, yet years later, these women are still waiting for justice.

The latest WASPI briefing makes clear what should happen next

➡️ The Government must accept the Ombudsman’s findings

➡️ Deliver a swift, fair and transparent compensation scheme

➡️ Ensure that no group is ever left in this option again.

The High Court judges are set to hear WASPI’s legal challenge on the 9 and 10 December.

Behind ever statistic is a woman who worked hard, planned for her future and expected honesty from her Government. Nothing more and nothing less.

Gavin Robinson MP (East Belfast)

I have always campaigned for WASPI women and always will. The 5,716 women in Alloa & Grangemouth and WASPI Campaign women all over the UK deserve justice and what is theirs. I’m in Parliament for you.

Brian Leishman MP (Alloa & Grangemouth)

“I urge the Minister to do the right and just thing and give the WASPI women the compensation they deserve and are entitled to.

These strong and resilient women up and down the UK worked to make our country the wonderful place it is

Don’t let them down. Act now – please”

Mary Kelly Foy MP (City of Durham)

Josh Newbury MP (Cannock Chase)

WASPI women have suffered from years of delay in being awarded what is rightfully theirs. ‘

The government need to listen and act to their call for payments owed

Lee Dillon MP(Newbury)

High Court Judges will hear the #WASPI legal challenge 9 and 10 Dec. These women deserve justice.

Lillian Jones MP (Kilmarnock and Loudoun)

Justice for the WASPI women

£!!

Seamus Logan MP(Aberdeenshire North and Moray East)

Richard Burgon MP (Leeds East)

Simon Opher MP (Stroud)

Delighted to reaffirm my unconditional support for the Waspi women who have been horribly betrayed by successive UK governments.

The Scottish National Party (SNP) will always stand by the WASPI – Women Against State Pension Inequality Campaign

Brendan O’Hara MP (Argyll, Bute & South Lochaber)

Steve Darling MP (Torbay)

It was a privilege to meet the WASPI campaign today and reaffirm my support for their cause. I don’t know a single MP who doesn’t back their fight for justice. But identifying the £10 billion needed for fair compensation remains a challenge – no party has yet put forward a fully costed plan.

The constituencies coloured purple on the map are those with MPs that support the WASPI women.

Dr Scott Arthur MP (Edinburgh South West)

💪 WASPI Women deserve justice, and we’re not giving up! 💜

The Government may have said they won’t give WASPI women the compensation they deserve, but let’s be clear: this fight isn’t over.

Thousands of women who worked hard all their lives were denied fair notice of the changes to their pension age, and that’s simply not right.

We stand shoulder to shoulder with the WASPI campaign and all those demanding fairness, respect, and accountability.

Because when something’s unjust, we don’t walk away. We keep pushing until justice is done. ✊💛

Sarah Gibson MP (Chippenham)

“I urge the government to take action NOW, to listen to the voices of thousands of women up and down the country who DESERVE BETTER and meet with WASPI as soon as possible”

Liz Jarvis MP (Eastleigh)

Anna Gelderd MP (South East Cornwall)

“Good luck to the WASPI campaign for fairness and justice.”

Julian Lewis MP (New Forest East)

Stephen Gethins MP (Arbroath and Broughty Ferry)

Ignoring the independent ombudsman’s recommendations is disgraceful.

Liberal Democrats will keep pushing the government to properly compensate WASPI women

Marie Goldman MP(Chelmsford)

I support a fair compensation scheme for all WASPI women

Ruth Jones MP(Newport West and Islwyn)  (WelshGorllewin Casnewydd ac Islwyn)

It’s vitally important that government maintains a dialogue with campaigners.

The ombudsman came to a judgement and it is a grave injustice that it has not been honoured. The WASPI campaign needs to get to a conclusion that meets with campaigners consent and approval.

Andy McDonald MP (Middlesbrough and Thornaby East)

1950s born women have been terribly let down.

This injustice they have suffered is a national scandal.

The Government must honour past promises and deliver compensation

Ben Lake MP (Ceredigion Preseli)

Too many women have fought too long and hard for justice – it’s not good enough. The Government need to listen and act

Caroline Dinenage MP (Gosport)

“Always great to support the fantastic WASPI women, they have my full support and deserve the whole hearted support from every single Parliamentarian.

This is about natural justice.

XXX”

The government must listen to the Ombudsman

Cat Eccles MP (Stourbridge)

I’m supporting WASPI women!

Persistence will surely pay off (+ I speak from experience)

Roz Savage MP(South Cotwolds)

💜 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗣𝗜 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻

It was a privilege to stand alongside (𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗣𝗜) today, a movement that continues to fight for fairness and respect despite having been absolutely shafted by the Government.

👩‍🦳 There are 𝟱,𝟳𝟵𝟲 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗣𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗻, women born in the 1950s who had their State Pension age raised without proper notice. Their courage and persistence is truly inspiring.

💪 I’ll keep pushing until 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 and 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲.

Carla Lockhart MP (Upper Bann)

“I promised to stand with WASPI in 2019 and I’ll keep that promise.

Keep yours”

Richard Quigley MP (IOW West)

Very pleased to meet once again with representatives from the WASPI campaign, and raise their case in Parliament during a debate shortly afterwards! 💬

Over 7,000+ women in my North Cornwall constituency are affected by the issue, so I’ve been working closely with the campaign on behalf of these constituents to help secure the compensation they’re rightly owed.

Ben Maguire MP (North Cornwall)

There were a couple of the messages of support with no names attached – do you recognise the writing?

It is really important to keep this campaign on the agenda – to right this wrong for WASPI women

Message two

Best of luck to WASPI’s campaign

Women deserve to be treated equally
