Daily Express – 23 October 2025

This article tells the story of MP Ben Maguire going straight from the WASPI Drop in event on the 21st to question the governments priorities at being willing to pay £2 billion for the plans to introduce digital ID but saying they cannot pay compensation owed to WASPI women. WASPI think this is a very reasonable question.

The article goes on to discuss the Judicial Review hearing in December and outlines the governments hopes for the Digital ID system. WASPI finds it somewhat ironic that these hopes include “We are doing the hard graft to deliver a fairer Britain for those who want to see change, not division.” This hope sits somewhat uncomfortably with denying WASPI women the justice the Independent Ombudsman has identified as necessary.
