DWP chief issues update over WASPI compensation decision as deadline looms

This article mainly covers the Works and Pensions Committee meting held on 21st January 2026. During the meeting DWP permanent secretary Peter Schofield explained the delay on the action plan to improve communication and ensure the maladministration experienced by WASPI women does not happen again. He revealed the result of the reconsideration would happen soon.
